Vijaya Nursing Home was founded in 1995 by Dr Uma Maheswara Rao and Dr Vijaya Lakshmi. It was Dr Uma’s childhood dream to become a Gynecologist doctor and set up his own hospital. Dr Uma has done his MBBS from Andhra Medical College, Vizag and MD in Anaesthesiology from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad. Dr Vijaya Lakshmi has done her MBBS and MD in Gynaecology & Obstetrics from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. Turning down offers to head OBGYN & Anaesthesia departments at an upcoming corporate hospital back in 1995, they started Vijaya Nursing Home in chandanagar with the goal to offer high quality services at affordable costs
